Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa and receives a considerable amount of aid due to the significant inequality of wealth. Charities and non-profit organizations play an integral role for supporting underserved members of society in any country.
Nearly 10 million children across the country do not attend school, because thousands of schools have been forced to close, damaged or destroyed.
MMO FOUNDATION fights for a world in which an opportunity is not a privilege, but a right for everyone. At the core of the foundation’s work is working with partners, donor organizations as well as with vulnerable people to end the injustices that cause poverty.
MMO FOUNDATION CHILD ABUSE PREVENTING PROGRAMME
MMO FOUNDATION is driven by a belief that every child should have a safe and happy childhood, free from the threat of violence and abuse. These special programmes are dedicated towards protecting children from becoming victims of abuse, with a strong view in assisting young girls as they overcome exposure to early sexual activities, gender discrimination, sexually transmissible infections including HIV/AIDS, unsafe abortion, all forms of sexual abuse, harassment and exploitation.
Research initiative
The MMO FOUNDATION platform provides tools and knowledge to its members to learn about the systemic causes of extreme poverty and to take actions on those issues in order to discover and promote effective solutions to local problems. It brings together researchers and decision-makers to evaluate these solutions and apply them to improve the lives of the marginalized.
